Singing & Songwriting Facilitator

Off-stage Rumbi can be found hosting singing and songwriting workshops.

Age ranges of 10-60 year olds within schools, music hubs and youth clubs around the North of England.

Sessions range from one off visits and other sessions can be up to 8 weeks long - depending on the organisations brief.

Sessions include: exploring the individuals chosen genres, song themes , solo or group projects + desired session structure.

Organisations include: The Lowry, Darts Doncaster, Red Tape, Harmony Works, National Theatre.

Curator + Producer:

Event curator and producer within creative spaces across the North of England.

Recent projects: Migration Matters Festival

Guest curator for the 10 day festival, Rumbi was responsible for curating and producing a 5 day programme across Sheffield.

The events spanned across community, music, art and gardening. A diverse programme of music, conversation, collaborative art and therapeutic gardening called Roots and Routes.

2023 Arts Council Youth Advisory Board Member

The Youth Advisory Board have the opportunity to engage in a range of activities and tasks that directly connect to the Arts Council’s policy and programme development. To this date, this has included opportunities such as;

  • Taking part in consultation work by listening to other young people and hearing their views

  • Advising staff in the organisation and stakeholders on key policy areas 

  • Making recommendations by speaking at National Council meetings and presenting thoughts on key policy areas 

  • The opportunity to engage in arts and culture across the country whilst developing their skills, knowledge and network

Mondo Radio Host [2023-2024]

Monthly resident at Sheffield’s Mondo Radio Station.

Events Coordinator at Peddler Market [2022-2024']

Rumbi coordinatd the live music nights held every first Friday of the month at Peddler Market on behalf of Pattern + Push, alongside partner-in-rhyme JXK.

Each month’s show was carefully curated, championing emerging artists from across Yorkshire and beyond to showcase their talent.

With a background in Music, Media and Communications from Birmingham City University, event programming and delivery remains a key passion.

PATTERN & PUSH

As a previous winner of Pattern and Push 2021, Rumbi Tauro is now an ambassador of P+P.

Pattern and Push is a talent competition for rappers and singers in the South Yorkshire area. Each year, the organisation returns with incredible opportunities for emerging creatives.

The artists have a chance to work with Rumbi Tauro, Coco , Seppy, and a handful of music industry professionals to PATTERN up their songs and verses.

Those who make the cut will record their track in a professional studio, film a promo video and showcase their talents at our live PUSH event to compete for this years crown.
